Jemimah Patterson - artist, former gallery manager, and curator conceived THE COT OPEN after relocating from London to the tranquillity of the Kent countryside. The move sparked a desire to revive the rich artistic spirit of Weavers Cot, a 16th‑century Grade II* listed estate whose gardens and history have long inspired creative minds. Once home to the celebrated Naum Gabo collection and his family, the estate carries an artistic legacy ready to be reawakened and re‑imagined for a new generation.

This year’s theme, INSIDE |OUT, invites artists to explore the sensation of stepping beyond oneself — that out‑of‑body moment, a sense of dislocation, a separation from time, identity, or place.

We welcome bold interpretations across both 2D and 3D media. Whether literal, abstract, emotional, or conceptual, we’re seeking a diverse and thought‑provoking collection of works that challenge perception and turn the familiar inside out.
